Dr. Chan graduated with honors from Boston College in 1996, with a bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later received his MD and MBA from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Chan completed his residency in Anesthesia at the prestigious Harvard Medical School in 2005. The following year, he completed his Pain Fellowship at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Chan is the co-founder, chief executive officer, and principle owner of Comprehensive Pain Management since 2007. In addition, Dr. Chan has been the Medical Director of the Pain Clinic at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA since 2006. Dr. Chan has specialized in pain medicine for more than 10 years.
Dr. Chan has always believed that managing a patient's pain allows them to live a happy active lifestyle, and he has built his practice on this fundamental belief.
Boris Shwartzman, MD is a Board-Certified pain specialist and anesthesiologist. He received his M.D. degree from Latvia Medical Academy in Riga, Latvia in 1986. Dr. Shwartzman completed a general surgery internship at Geilezers Hospital in Latvia and went on to become a staff surgeon there until 1989. He later completed a transitional internship at Cambridge Hospital, in Cambridge MA, followed by a general surgery internship at the New England Medical Center. After completing residency training in Anesthesiology from St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in 1996, Dr. Shwartzman went on to become staff Anesthesiologist at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. Dr. Shwartzman is also the co-founder and has been the Medical Director at Comprehensive Pain Management since 2007, while continuing his practice as an Anesthesiologist at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Dr. Shwartzman is double board certified in Anesthesia and Pain Medicine. He has devoted much of his life to the study of Medicine and found a passion for helping patients battle chronic pain and improve their quality of life. Dr. Shwartzman is one of the few in the area that is able to perform the Disc-FX procedure.
